Mr Giles Gunesekera, Founder and CEO of the Global Impact Initiative, has over 28 years of experience in global business development within the financial services industry. With senior roles in recruiting, training, and leadership, he holds qualifications from Oxford, Melbourne, and Monash universities. Recognised by Oxford with an Outstanding Alumnus award, Giles is a Senior Fellow of the Financial Services Institute of Australia, among other fellowships.
Combining corporate leadership with governance skills in the Not-for-Profit sector, he holds numerous International Aid, Human Rights, and Climate Action directorships. Giles also serves on Advisory Boards for the United Nations on Climate and Health and Sustainable Finance, and the Securities and Investments Institute of Asia Pacific.
